Made from birch and poplar plywood with real glass windows, this freelance bogie corridor coach is a sturdy design which looks perfect behind a 16mm loco.
The coach body is 138mm high, not including the few millimetres for the ventilator, and 101mm wide in the body, 113mm including the steps (same as our other Timpdon coaches). This Dining Corridor version is 368mm long in the body, 400mm including couplings (the same as the 4 ompartment coach).
Available as either a kit or as a finished model.
Kit: Not too hard to make (but it’s not really a beginner’s kit), with easy to follow illustrated instructions. Real glass is used for the windows, so this kit isn’t suitable for children due to the sharp edges.
32mm / 45mm regaugeable.
Pre-Made: Available in either maroon or green (both have cream panels).
The colours of every coach exactly matches the other coaches in the range (eg the satin finish maroon is identical to all the other coaches and parcel van).
Couplings are fitted in the finished version, but are not included in the kit due to the wide variety in use. Minimum radius is 2’6”.
Supplied as 32mm or 45mm gauge, the wheels can easily be re-gauged to your railway.
The Parcel Van, Guard's Van, Composite Coach, 1, 2, 3 & 4 Compartment Compartment Coaches are of very similar design, intended to make a uniformed train.
